John M. Pennington

John oversees sales and partnerships for JST’s external-facing business activities. He brings over a decade of professional experience across traditional finance and crypto markets.

John began his career as a trader with Macquarie Group where he focused on emerging markets proprietary arbitrage trading. In 2018 he joined Circle’s OTC Trade desk, one of the early pioneers in crypto OTC trading. He also brings venture investing experience to JST, having worked as an investor at ZX Ventures, the corporate VC arm of AB InBev.

John holds a BA from Duke University and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, John is a CFA Charterholder.
